When to order for Christmas
Checkout's address check decides which service reaches the recipient and which dates are on offer. Thursday, December 24 is the final delivery day before Christmas Day; the same-day service reaches only the Greater Toronto Area and the Greater Vancouver Area, and every other address goes by courier on a business-day range. Courier orders placed before 2 p.m. local time on a weekday ship that day.

Bubbly leads the bottles
Champagne or sparkling wine was in 14% of Christmas 2025 orders and wine in 11%. Gifts that need no ID

It depends on the address. A courier gift for Thursday, December 24 has to be placed before 2 p.m. local time on a day between Wednesday, December 16 and Tuesday, December 22, set by the address's business-day range; the postal code check above names the day. Same-day delivery, only in the Greater Toronto Area and the Greater Vancouver Area, takes Christmas Eve gifts until 11 a.m. local time that morning, while checkout still offers the date.
Do baskets with alcohol need ID?
Yes. Wine, champagne, beer and liquor baskets go only to a recipient of legal drinking age with valid photo ID: 19 or older in Ontario and British Columbia, 18 or older in Quebec, Alberta and Manitoba, and the provincial legal drinking age elsewhere. The buyer must be of legal drinking age too, and an adult signature may be asked for. Send it to an address where that person will be. A basket without alcohol needs no ID.
